About Me

My photo
Fort Ward Observer
The J. Glenn Eugster Blog includes documents from my career which began in 1968. Included are various letters, reports and other documents that I prepared, or helped prepare, while working with various government agencies. My goal is to continue to add information including information starting in the 1960's. The Fort Ward Observer Blog features various letters, reports and documents from Fort Ward Historical Park. Fort Ward, a Civil War fortress created to protect Washington, D.C., was established as a historical park by the City of Alexandria in 1964. The park was created through a collaborative effort, which began in the early 1950,’s between local homeowners, citizens, historians, civic associations, City and local elected officials. The purpose of this report is to provide community interests with information on what is being considered, proposed and underway in Fort Ward Park and its surrounding area. I have added a section called the Fontana Free Press with a selection of short-stories I have written. My purpose for posting this material is to share information with you rather than to stimulate dialogue. J. Glenn Eugster glenn_eugster@comcast.net
